is it normal for gums to go very pale or even white during cardio exercise?

Unusual: This is an unusual observation and I have never encountered this. Cyanosis(bluish color) of lips would be of concern. With intense exertion and mouth breathing,there may be vasonstriction of the blood vessels of the gums. Apparently you have no symptoms indicative of a serious problem.

Look no further....: ... The answers you seek can be found at your local dentist. The symptoms you describe are indicative of periodontal problems, but can also be caused by other things, including meds and systemic imbalances. Without an exam, full med history, and radiographs, no accurate diagnosis can be made. You know what to do... Make that call.

i stopped eating meat and have noticed that my gums are becoming very light, pale pink in colour (this is not a build up of plaque), is this anaemia?

Not necessarily: This is not necessarily a sign of anemia. Check if the inner lining of your under eyelids are pale and if the palms of your hands look pale as well. The best way to tell is get a blood test. If you are menstruating and have heavier cycles, then of course you are at higher risk of anemia.

i use a whitening teeth (plus white 5 minute) but when i use the gell my fang hurt because i flossed last night now the gum looks pale. what shld i do?

See a professional: Patients who try store bought products to whiten teeth often get more than they bargained for or less than desired whitening results. It is always best to consult a dentist for tried ; true effective and safe methods for whitening your teeth. Dentisst are trained and knowledgeable in this area and the lay public is not. Stop what you are doing and discuss options (even otc products) with a dentist.

i had extensive gingivectomy for some root canals for three of my bottom molars a couple years ago. noticed the other day that the gums look a bit pale pink. still pink but not the same type of pink as other areas. is this due to the surgery?

Possibly: Extensive surgery may have altered the blood flow to that area. Are you still under the care of the periodontist/endodontist who performed the surgery? It may be time for a visit to determine your gingival health.

Yes: Thyroid disease, specifically hypothyroid (low thyroid), very often causes dry mouth.  Saliva is your body's natural protection and when the flow is reduced your mouth does not have the same capacity to remove bacteria.   Due to this, those with dry mouth are at much higher risk for gum disease and cavities.  Some products can help protect the teeth and gums.  Talk to your dentist for specifics.

Hairy Leukoplakia: The hairy leukoplakia occurs most often in people whose immune systems are suppressed, not necessary HIV/AIDS. If concerned, see your PCP for ELISA test.

See your dentist: If the teeth are just erupting or partially impacted (stuck, angled) some folks have recurrent problems that can be addressed.  If the tooth itself is decayed or abcessed it may need to be removed. Not all wisdom teeth need to be removed but ones that continually impact your life should be. You and your dentist can make that decision.

See below: Are they bleeding?  Mouth breathing is never good because it drys out your mouth. Saliva is the protector of teeth and gums. The best thing you can do is start breathing through your nose again ..If you start doing that and the soreness doesn't go away then you could have a problem. Are you sure its your gums and not the teeth that hurt. Try using clove oil rubbing this on the effected areas.

Pale gums: Usually don't indicate dry mouth, but rather anemia.  See your doc and get checked, as that could be serous.
