Probably not: This does not sound like a typical story for cancer. If these symptoms do not improve you should bring this to the attention of your friendly dermatologist.

: You may be experiencing cyst formations in the scrotum  or epididymal tubes. Apparently one of them is irritated or inflamed. I recommend having an examination by your physician or a urologist for diagnosis and advice. Any appropriate testing such as an ultrasound will be ordered.

Being on or in scrotal wall, it can be easily palpated by ordinary hands; if inside the sac, a tiny lump is not easy for ordinary inexperienced hand to differentiate if it's on or inside or outside the testis, but such indeed terrifies some men. So, have the experienced hands to help you figure it out as needed. Best wish ..

There's a small structure up there called the appendix testis (yes, appendix testis) that can get clogged, which doesn't mean much but should be verified just to make sure it isn't something more serious, especially at your age. It hasn't been emphasized enough that men in their teens and twenties check their testes for masses. I'd suggest getting your girlfriend to do it...Fun

Doctor can evaluate: A guy in his early 30's with one or two lumps on a testicle should not be ignored. His doctor should closely examine both testes and scrotum. An appendix of a testicle (a small lump near a testicle) might be a lump on the testicle. No lump growth or change in many, many years makes a lump likely non-cancerous... but new lumps are unknowns and need to be examined closely.

Painfull testicle: Sounds like traumatic irritation to the testicle. Try fluids, NSAID, elevating (tight underwear or supporter), also use cool compress.  If problem persists, see a urologist or your physician.

To verify and/or get a definitive diagnosis, best to see a urologist when lump occurs again.
