Sinus Pain: It is most likely sinus pain.  The eye is surrounded by sinuses and if they are inflamed, eye movement can cause a pressure type pain.  If you are really sick your eye muscles can ache causing achy pain with eye movement.  Pain with eye movement along with decreased vision can be a sign of optic neuritis.  If that is occurring, see and eye doctor right away.

what could cause a mild, constant headache with sharp pain when moving my eyes any direction. i rarely get headaches, but am on day 2 of this. thanks.

Tension: I am assuming that you are not having any nausea, sensitivity to light, sound or smell which would make this more of a migrainous headache.  Therefore, this would be classified as a muscle tension headache.  pain with movements of eyes is a common complaint in my practice.  this is only an issue if one eye hurts and the vision is altered in one eye, or if you are having double vision.

i feel pain when moving my eyes ,pressure in my head, dry ,itchy and burning sensation and   headaches is it a serious problem ?

Head pressure: Fever can cause these symptoms. Do you have a fever? If your eyes don't show any signs of inflammation or visual disturbance, you may be combatting a viral infection. At this time I recommend rest, good fluid intake and taking Tylenol (acetaminophen). If symptoms don't improve, see your physician for evaluation.

hello, my neurologist saw inflammation behind my eye and suspects ms ( due to other symptoms and my mri. i have no pain when moving my eyes so i dont know if it could be optic neuritis. what else related to ms could cause inflammation behind the eye?

: Besides multiple sclerosis, optic nerve inflammation (optic neuritis) can occur with other conditions, including infections or immune diseases, such as lupus. Rarely, another disease called neuromyelitis optica causes inflammation of the optic nerve and spinal cord.

Sev. possible causes: There are a number of problems in and around the eye which can cause pain with eye movements. Sinus disease, optic neuritis, thyroid disease (usually overactive thyroid), inflammation of the muscles or tendons which move the eye in different directions, and other causes are all possible. If the pain persists more than a few days, see an eye md for diagnosis and recommendations.

i have sudden floater in my right eye only, blurred sight extreme migraine eye pain white streaks when moving eye. what can cause this?

Retinal lesion: Please see an eye doctor as soon as possible. What you described suggest a tear in the retina and may be retinal detachment. It can be treated, but you need to see eye doctor right away before it gets worse.
