why do doctors make their patients wait months for an appointment and then push you out after seeing you for only 15 minutes?

In general, we don't: We doctors don't do that. The machine does that. The machine is the system that causes all these undesirable effects in delivering healthcare. There is enormous demand for healthcare (many people needing help), but a limited supply of doctors plus an unwillingness of society to move more funds into training and hiring more doctors, to better match the demand (actually, more complicated than that).

how long after diagnosis should i wait to see a specialist?

Accepted Answer

Soon as possible: If it has been determined that you need to see a specialist, then waiting longer than logistically necessary is neglect. I recognize that there can be difficulties in seeing a specialist, but you should see one as soon as you can be scheduled.

i have had paragard 14 months, 12 days late should i wait to see if i mss my next cycle?

Accepted Answer

No: You should (a) check for the string, and if you have been getting regular cycles up to now, you should (b) get a home pregnancy test.  If negative, you can wait. If not, see your provider right away.

5w6d based on scan.. no heartbeat nor baby yet.. will i be able to see it on the 7th or wait till the 8th?

Too early...: I would probably wait until the 8th week. You can see it between the 7th or 8th so you go for a better visualization at that time. Any time after that it should be clearly noticed.

Counselor: First meeting is usually introduction to get to know your history &amp; set up a treatment plan. You might want to mention what things brought you to see her/him &amp; what you want help with.

Yes: If you are not into too much pain.  Then you can wait until tommorrow.

How to get pregnant: If you ovulate and there is no sperm inside of you there will be no pregnancy. I am not sure why you are using a test that is flawed for this important experience. But, here are the more simple rules. Figure out the day in your cycle (sully day 13) that you ovulate. The count back five days. Those five days are when sperm will cause pregnancy. Sperm left on the day of ovulation or after may not.

Yes: When the brains balance is off as happens in major depression there can be a lot of twists and turns. One mistake that is easy to do is to over react to symptom changes. Some of the medicine can take months to work. Sometimes the best thing we can do as doctors is to stay the course and give it time. Hang in there.

is it normal to not see completely clear when getting new glasses? it's still slightly blurry like before the glasses. how long should i wait to know?

You should be able: to see clearly within a few minutes of wearing new glasses but it might take a few days to completely adjust to them. If they are still blurry after a few days you should check with your provider to be certain the correct prescription has been made.

Dont: The longer you wait, the higher the risk to develop an irreversible problem.
