i have this pain in the middle left side of my back that will not go away i've tried every pain med, nsaids, ibuprofen, naproxen, lidoderm patch...help!?

Get re-evaluated: It seems that your pain is distressing/frustrating you from lack of response from med..And possibly not knowing exactly why. I would recommend seeing your doc again and express your concern--he/she may send you for xray/mri, pt, add/change med, or send you to a specialist for additional eval/treatment. Best of luck.

Back pain : No medication may sometime be a better option than pain medication. Topical medications (rx, compounded or otc) are generally safer than oral, but may not be as effective. Acetaminophen is a safe analgesic medication. Nsaids are also helpful & can be purchased otc. Always read the label/package insert. Long term side effects are possible with any medication.

Back Pain: As someone who works alongside pain management physicians, I have seen them use things such as spinal cord stimulators and pain pumps to help patients with chronic pain syndromes.

my left side is leaning to the left when i am standing up.and i am in a lot of pain.and my left side is numb.what should do i took some pain med's it didn't help

Your : Your symptoms are very concerning for a stroke.  Feeling off balance like you are leaning and numbness are symptoms of a stroke.  If you have not already done so you need to call 911 and be immediately medically evaluated for possible stroke.

i am 2 days post op lumbar fusion, i have been prescribed oxicontin control release and another pain med. wouldn't oxicontin be enough?

Depends: Take oxycontin exactly as needed. The short acting pain medication with oxycontin background is probably for as needed/ breakthough pain. If you dont have pain, then dont take it. 
Reduce opioids to as low as possible and off by 4 weeks to prevent dependence.

Alternative View: I know you will get other responses to your question. So, here is a different and perhaps unexpected medical perspective.  Many people who have pain on Methadone have a brain that is severely damaged by the disease of addiction. Getting clean from the narcotics and Methadone often leads to resolution of the pain.  I would prescribe narcotics or alcoholics anonymous with a treatment program.

methylprednisolone can you stop it midway? i'm on the line where take 3 then 2and 1. but its causing pain to go from normal 2 to 5. like my regular pain med not working. only 1 wk trial doc left me.

Discuss with MD: You should always finish the Medrol (methylprednisolone) pack in its entirety as directed.  (unless you are having a reaction and told to stop).  Your doctor will get information, even if it is not taking away all of the pain. There is also a risk of your body not adjusting well to the sudden stop. I recommend finishing the trial if you can or at least discussing with your doctor.
