Maybe a pinched nerv: This kind of pain on back of scapula can be due to muscles of shoulder girdle or in some cases is a referred pain from pinched nerve in neck. Any numbness in arm or hand? Neck pain? Should get an exam from orthopedist if persists.

i had pain under the left shoulder blade imtermittently.now when i got covid it is very annoying(it happens when sleeping on my back or on my left side), when sleeping on my right shoulder or standing no pain.can it be organ related or muscoskeletal?

: It is most likely to be musculoskeletal,if there are no other symptoms. A heating pad and ibuprofen may provide relief. Watch for signs of shortness of breath, prolonged fatigue and cough.

Better have physical: Pain under left shoulder blade could be muscle spasm . Poor posture , sedentary lifestyle etc . Try daily stretches , Masage ... if no better see your doc for exam . Physical therapy may be helpful. Regards to testicular cancer prevention- self “ testicular exam “ and regular physical is best way of prevention . If any lump , pain or whatever concern - see doctor . Don’t procrastinate.

Pleurisy likely: Based on your history, the most likely problem is a condition called pleurisy.  This is an inflammation of the lining surrounding the lungs.  It can develop shortly after a simple cold or mild upper respiratory infection.  Ibuprofen usually helps.

It's always best to check with your physician and have yourself seen to make sure there is not a more serious problem causing these symptoms.
