when i have a deep breathe have pain in thoracic spine at back and ribs.what could be problem . i have pain in same area if i bend forward or back ?

Sounds like: A muscle spasm in the back muscles.  There are a lot of different muscles in the back in that area that can go into spasm.  This can even last for weeks.  Stretching, and anti-inflammatory medication would be beneficial.  If there is no improvement or worsening see your doctor.

: This is more likely a pinched nerve that moved a bit with the big hug, with some nerve impingement and swelling.  It should slowly resolve as the nerve moves back into a comfortable position.

Mid back pain: A detailed history is needed . Any trauma or falls? History of osteoporosis? Fevers or history of TB? Many possible causes, an exam and possibly Xrays and blood tests could be needed. See your doctor!

Don't mess around: I would recommend you see a cardiologist to make certain it is not your heart that is causing this.

The IV: An IV is placed for ct scan with contrast.  This should be the only pain.  The exception might be if you are having a ct myelogram, where dye/contrast is injected directly into you spinal fluid.  This is not common.

This should be answ-: Ered by your spinal surgeon, who knows you and your condition. Anyone else giving you options might not be the right thing to do, for you, except confusing the issue further. Google it and you'll get all options, but what's best for you, has to be from your surgeon, and no one else.

Thoracic Spine: Pain at the level of the bra-strap is a very common pain location in middle aged (sorry...) women... We have a hard time determining the cause usually, but poor posture is a common reason. Otherwise, the cervical spine can radiate pain down to that area and deserves a workup. Injections in the T-spine facet joints may help. Good luck!... avoid rushing into surgery for this.

Thoracic pain: This is a very nonspecific complaint. However, it is rare to have a significant problem that requires treatment in the thoracic spine. Thoracic pain is usually muscular in young patients and can be managed with pilates, yoga, piyo for core. Ice/heat, nsaid's, and salonpas hot patches. Mckenzie pt if pain continues (doc's rx needed), further studies if pain no better.

what are scmorls nodes and enplate changes of thoracic spine?

Degenerative Disc: Schmorl's nodes are indentations in the boney endplates (top and bottom of vertebrae) which are indicative of degenerative disc disease.  They are not a problem in themselves but are just some thing seen on an MRI which indicated degenerative disc disease.
