Spasm: This could be a reactive airway issue and muscles may go into spasm. Modify breathing techniques.

Be seen: There are a number of ootential considerations, many if which relate to an abnormality of the upper GI tract and/or trachea.  A good medical check up with an internist would probably be a good place to start.

i have excruciating pain in the back of my head when i vomited and now have severe pain and burning sensation in the right side of my neck and a knot on the front of my neck above my collar bone.  been take over the counter pain medicine for a week?

: Please go and see your family doctor. You may need further testing if your exam warrants. Just from the symptoms it seems it may be coming from your neck

Pulled muscle: It is wonderful to hear of overflowing joy and laughter.  Try a warm compress and some Tylenol for comfort.  Allow a few days for muscle pains to resolve.

Muscle/thyroid: You should be examined. You may have an irritation of the anterior  SCM muscle ( sternocleidomastoid) , and inflamed lymph node or enlarged thyroid gland. Impossible to diagnose without an examination.

Possible infection: If you have had wounds on your neck and shoulders, and you are now having an enlarging lymph node, then you may be developing an infection.  See a physician for further evaluation.

Needs evaluation: The pain could be coming from a variety of sources.  The most likely cause is musculoskeletal; it could be due to a muscle strain, or referred from the neck. However, the pain could also be non-musculoskeletal, coming from your lungs, for example.  If it has persisted for more than a week and is not improving, i would definitely have it evaluated.

my left collar bone sticks out more then my right and its pointy where it sticks out at the base of the neck and my right one doesn't. it doesn't hurt?

Normal.: Some asymmetry is normal. As long as this is longstanding and not enlarging i don't think there is much to worry about.

Thyroid: There are many causes of swelling in the front of the neck. An enlarged thyroid, and enlarged lymph nodes are some of the causes.  A visit to the doctor should help determine.

Many possibilities: That can be anything from strain of the sternocleidomastoid muscle to a pinched nerve in the neck.  If it persists beyond a few days, then see a doctor
