They can: Pain pills as well as other types of pills are mostly processed through liver. Certain medications can speed up  or slow down the processing of other medications which can either lead to too little or too great an effect like drowsiness. Doctors have lists of which drugs interact with which and can help you determine if you are having interactions that are not helpful to you. See your doctor.

Find cause instead: Lots of causes of "stomach pain", but epigastric burning &amp; pain after meals raises the probability of gastritis &amp; ulcers. Stop any non-prescribed nsaid's or aspirin; cut out tobacco &amp; alcohol; start an otc acid reducer (like Prilosec otc, Prevacid (lansoprazole) 24hr). Seek emergency care if lightheaded, worsening symptoms, vomiting coffee ground material or passing black stool or blood. Pancreatitis possible?

See a surgeon: You need a further work up.   It most likely is infectious gastroenteritis, aka the flu.  However, there are a lot of conditions which could have these symptoms.  You should get checked out, start with your primary care provider..

See a GI doctor: This is an unusual effect of GB surgery. You should see a gastroenterologist for evaluation.

None: the best thing to do is find the cause of abdominal pain. If you have had it for a couple of days then I suggest seeing a doc. Many pain pills may actually worsen abdominal pain.

Abdominal pain: Abdominal pain that comes and goes is generally not too serious; but it depends where it is. See a photo of the abdominal organs to which one may be causing your pain. See your medical provider if pain becomes constant or severe. Intentional gas pain may be reduced with anti gas tablets or liquid.

I : I am glad you have a doctor's appointment to evaluate your pain and swelling.  If you have increased pain, fever, or vomiting then you need to go in immediately to be seen as an emergency.

NO: No you should  see your doctor first , for full physical examination, blood tests,  endoscopic examination along with radiological tests to find the cause of your symptoms. Some one at your age  a malignancy is unlikely, may be ulcerative colitis, or other conditions  that could be cured and get it  treated with out delay.

Go see your doc: Stomach pains when lying down may be related to reflux.   Go see your doc.  He may get an upper GI series on you.  He may give you medicine to lower your stomach acid.  He needs to exam you first.  Go see him.
