Arthritis : as far as I know, glucosamine is the only natural thing that would help arthritis (scientifically proven).  But your symptom may not be a plain arthritis.  It can be rheumatoid arthritis or other connective tissue disease.   I would go see your doctor.  Take care.

Varies : There are several potential causes.  Presumably you did not injure it or you would have mentioned it.  Other causes can include inflammatory or infectios causes.  I would not hesitate to be seen.

I : I agree with dr. Press's answer from several hours ago today.  The most likely site of compression of the ulnar nerve is at the elbow or "funny bone" area.  If you are sleeping or doing other activities with your elbow fully flexed significantly for long periods of time, this can put traction on the ulnar nerve at the elbow and lead to your symptoms, possibly.

You could consider wrapping and taping your arm in a towel at the elbow snugly when you sleep at night, to prevent the elbow from flexing.   Pre- fabricated elbow splints can be obtained from medical supply stores.  Splint can also be fabricated by occupational therapists to keep the elbow straight, but only with a physician's prescription.  The key is not to allow the elbow to be flexed more than 45Â° in order to keep traction off of the ulnar nerve.

Many causes : At your age likely possibilities are gout, pseudo gout, other crystal arthropatjies.  There are also many other forms if arthritis such as reactive arthritis. Depending on the appearance this could also be caused by an infection, a nerve you pinched while sleeping, spot a circulation problem.  If it worsens during the day or is red and swollen you should see a doctor for an evaluation.

Numbness: Numbness of fingers can be due to pinching of nerves at the wrist such as seen in carpal tunnel syndrome. Since only the very tips of two fingers are involved, a localized neuropathy may be the cause. At this point your symptoms are minor, but if they worsen or start to involve other regions of the hand, consult a hand SURGEON  or neurologist for diagnosis and treatment.

Infection: it could be from infection 
is there redness and swelling in the finger tip
if so its infection, soak the finger in hot water with salt in it several times a day and apply bacitracin ointment 
if it does not get better follow up with PCP

Deep flexors: Run in groups of 2-3 so that's why some people will slightly flex the other 2 fingers when you try to bend the thumb.  If it's quite exaggerated, or didn't used to be a problem it may need a doctor examination to sort out whether there is an abnormal tendon,
