10 mths post cts surgery, both hands; still scar tissue, soreness at incision, and meaty part of thumb, much swelling/stiffness esp in a.m., loss of strength, loss of fine motor skills, aches sometimes.cts was chronic-10yrs.are these symptoms normal?

Carpal tunnel synd: This does not sound typical. I would follow up with your hand surgeon. I would recommend an MRI and a follow up nerve conduction study. In regards to the scar, I like the over the counter scar cream Mederma.

2 weeks ago i cut my lower part of my thumb now i can barely move it and the wound is close.how long will it to completely heal? or will it ever heal?

See a hand surgeon: You may have done no significant damage and are just stiff, or you may have cut a tendon or nerve. The only way to make sure is to see a hand surgeon for an examination. As the injury is two weeks old, the sooner the better.

Clitoris size: Based on the information you provided I think your clitoris size may be a variation of the normal. But if gets larger then you need evaluation to ensure there is nothing biochemical going on.

why does a part  of my thumb get numb when exposed to the cold?

Numb thumb: Your body is very careful at keeping your brain and core 98.6. In cold weather the circulation will divert the heat to the center and fingers and toes will get cold and numb first.

Not the tip?: I assume you are talking about the part nearest the arm, correct? Depends--certainly it will hurt for a day or two after the cut. However, if the pain gets worse, if there is increasing redness or drainage, or if the thumb is numb and/or you have trouble moving it, you should have it checked out by a doctor.

i slammed my thumb-nail in a car door and the bottom part of my nail has fallen off. what can i do to treat it?

Patience: Hopefully there has not been any damage to the nailbed.  You will just have to give it time and wait for the nail to grow out.  There is nothing you can do to treat this.  If there was no damage to the nailbed it should grow back normally.

there's a small little like brown spot. on the middle part of my thumb. i just saw it today and i can't get. rid of it?

Out, Damned Spot!: I'd be curious to know what you did to get rid of it! What is your normal skin shade? You spend a lot of time in the sun? Is that spot flat or raised? Does it hurt? Is its color uniform? Is it smaller than a pencil eraser? If none of the above, watch it and see if it grows or changes color. If, so, get it seen by a dermatologist. If not, just keep watching it- and for the development of others.

pain in both anterolateral forearm for 1yr. pain aggravated by lifting wt and any pressure on that part of forearm, radiates to thumb. pls advise?

This most likely: represents an overuse or strain phenomenon of the forearm ligaments. I suspect you are continuing to do activities -- weight lifting, work or hobbies involving repetitive motion, lots of handwriting, etc -- that perpetuate the strain. Placing the wrist and forearm in an immobilizing splint may help, as may NSAIDs/ibuprofen. However, after a year, I would advise seeing a bone and joint specialist.

both palms, part under thumbs, swell and feel weird at time. not really pain, but feel weird! sometimes they almost look bruised, but they aren't. ?

Hands: From your description, two common things come to mind, one is carpal tunnel which can cause pins and needles or numbness or strange sensation in thumbs and palm of hand and first three and 1/2 fingers,but no color change (bruise look) associated. The other is Raynaud's disease which would have color change and strange sensation (frostbite like) and happens more often in women.See MD for exam.

Insensate/Thumb/lac: In next 6 months the sensory nerve fibers will re grow into the pad area. The raised area of the injury is the trap door phenomena. Circular laceration injuries will heal in 3-D process thus the contraction will cause the raising of the inured area during healing. Depending upon the size will dictate if this elevation stays permanent...
