Cardiac not likely: If you can reproduce the pain by pressing on the ribs, then it's likely not cardiac but rather coming from the bone, cartilage and soft tissue in that area. Did you exercise recently using muscles in that area? Did you sleep on that side? It might be traumatic or just inflammatory (random). Alternate ice / heat to the area and consider anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen with food for 1-2 days.

Hormonal: Usually just hormonal mastodynia
more common in girls with fibrocystic breast or who have a breast cyst
if self exam is negative, try Motrin and stop caffeine.
If worsens or does not get better in a week or two, get a breast ultrasound.

There : There are muscles under our breasts (the pectoralis muscle), that can twinge.  That is one possibility.  If you notice any swelling or mass then please be medically evaluated and be sure your mammograms are up to date if you are the age to get them.

Pain left breast: With your description it seems to be related to a muscle strain. Ibuprofen  may help.

Several things: Thare are several different causes...Anything from a bruise to any of several tumors.  Keeping up to date on preventive services (mammography and periodic breast exams, can stave off potentially malignant tumors.

No alarm.: intertrigo is an inflammation of body folds. It is red, scaly chafing where the skin-on-skin area prevents perspiration from evaporating and results in a fungal / bacterial infection. Ill fitting bras can irritate under and around breasts as well. Clean area well and dry thoroughly. Allow air flow. Wear sports bra. Get it evaluated if no improvement.

Need clarification: It may be  breast, chest wall, or muscle. Internal chest  is a possible cause. It may be  simple musculoskeletal irritation. You can discuss with you physician.

You may have: pleurisy or an inflammation of the muscles and bones of your chest. Fibromyalgia? It is highly unlikely to be cardiac. If it persists after taking an anti-inflamatory like Aleve or Motrin you should see health care provider for further evaluation.

Hmm, not quite sure: What this was.  Sometimes people can get muscle fasiculations which feel like a pulsing in your muscles,..yours just may have been  in the breast muscles. If this returns or continues, have the Dr. evaluate you.  God luck.

See a doctor: This could be an inflammation of the skin of the breast or mastitis.  You need to be seen by a doctor to get it checked out
