Injuries?: If on both sides most likely not strains. Especially if no injuries. You are young so there might be some ergonomic issues. Have to rule out lumbar spine problem with possible pinched nerves. This would be the most likely. Should get checked out if persists.

Once the compression is bad enough, weakness and numbness can occur. Seek evaluation of your lower back with a back specialist.

Possible sciatica: Sounds like you might have sciatica.  If you can take an NSAID without problem you can use for the pain.  Bed rest can help and I have found that a back brace can also help.  If symptoms persist you need to see your primary care doctor for evaluation and treatment.

It is a natural cause of limping (or knee hyperextended walking), which aggravates the hamstring tendons. Exercises to retrain the quad muscles can help. These exercises include straight leg raises, exercise bicycle, and gentle stairclimbing. Forcing yourself not to limp will also help.

As long as it did -: not pull the boney attachment off. it can heal. also depends on the severity of the tear 1,2 or 3 complete. muscle is not able to be sutured, but if the bone attachment to the pelvis is avulsed it can be repaired.

Back pain: Most back pain is muscular. THis is probably more so due to your age and the fact that you work out.  Best thing is still work-out but not so aggressively. Gentle stretching of the muscles is the best way to help with the pain.
