Maybe: 3 cortisone shots in the last 6 months in the shoulder are a lot.  You may need a x-ray and maybe to make sure that nothing new is going on your shoulder joints such as avascular necrosis.

Referred pain: Internal pain is referred or broadcast to certain parts of the body based on the nerves involved and where they have skin branches. Chest pain can be felt in the jaw, gallbladder pain in the shoulder and lung pain in clavicle. Also many muscles of breathing attach to the clavicle.

i've had random shooting pain in either clavicle, sometimes my shins for 5+ yrs.no injuries or high impact sports since before this began. what is it?

Weird pain sense: You complain of pains above your chest area (the clavicles) and also in your lower legs (the shins.  Do you do some sort of rowing exercise routine? Otherwise I can't see how the upper part of your body is affecting the lower part of your body.  Please explain.  Do you do rock climbing??

i have pain in right clavicle through to my back for a few days, have no injured and no weights, pain gets worse with cough or sneeze. i have to put my arm up when am walking as movement hurts. should i see doctor or will this go away on  it's own?

Pinched nerve: If the pain is very sharp,fleeting and radiates with coughing or deep breathing, an impingement of a nerve or muscle that runs between 2 ribs high in the rib cage may be the cause. These tend to resolve on their own. Avoid straining the rib cage. If symptoms persist see your physician. An xray may be recommended.

can a chest ct scan rule out lung cancer?  i have pain in shoulder/clavicle. x ray and ct clear.  pain persists along with sore sternum/throat.

In most cases: While it's true that no test is 100%, ct's are very sensitive and specific. Especially in your case -where you're dealing with significant symptoms - a space-occupying lesion would be detectable if generating that much discomfort.

See Doctor: Tough to diagnose what you have over the computer.  You need a thorough history and exam to determine the most likely cause of your pains.  It could be muscular, skeletal, vascular, referred pain, etc. etc.  See the Dr. and get well soon.  Good luck.
