Let try to help: This injury is brought on by exerting too much pressure on the lower leg muscles or excessive impact on the muscle. F you some recondition and stretching exercise before doing any sport activates, use Motrin on a dial basis tell the condition improve , if did not check with your doctor. Good luck thank you.

what can cause a sharp pain throughout the shin and up to the inside of the knee?

Shin pain: Several things come to mind:  shin splints, muscle pain in the foreleg (often the soleus or tibialis posterior muscle), posterior tibial tendinitis, pes anserine bursitis, varicose veins, poor circulation ("claudication"), swelling/edema, tibial stress fracture, and pinched nerve in the back (l4 or L5 radiculopathy or 'sciatica'). If pain persists, i'd suggest seeing your physician to sort it out.

i have itchy little red lumps behind my knees and on my shins. i don't shave because i'm scared it'll make it worse. help?

See derm: See your dermatologist to find out if this is eczema or something else. It can be treated.

Be seen: I would be seen.  An exam and appropriate studies will usually determine the cause.   Ligamentous injuries, such as an injury to the ACL can cause  an unstable knee.  If you are having a lot of trouble with pain running down your leg, it could also be coming from your back.  In severe cases pinched nerves in the back can cause weakness in the muscles around the knee making it less stable.

Short Term Probs: I would not be concerned at all about a numbness in the leg for an hour.  The key to accurately determining if something is significant are symptoms which gradually in crease in frequency, duration, frequency.

Referred pain: Knee pain is often referred to the shin and calf especially with more severe arthritis.
