Chest pain?: Your xyphoid process is under your sternum and in the middle of your chest, so radiaition to your shuolder could be simple heart burn or could be cardiac related.  See your dr. To get an evaluation and a proper diagnosis for any necessary treatment (and to assure it is not your heart).

Change flora: After an antibiotic treatment, is not uncommon to have changes in your normal gastro intestinal flora and there can be some symptoms related to that. Use some probiotics, some yogurts, try to have a regular diet with fiber and give a little time. If symptoms do not clear, might request a GI consult. Best for you!

See your doctor: You definitely  need some testing done, would suggest an ultrasound and blood work including a   standard set of blood test. Major possibilities include Gallbladder,  pancreas or stomach ulcers. The above test will point the way to further investigations.

: I assume there's no recent injury or strain. I also would assume there's no significant tenderness of the bottom of the sternum. If this Is the case, it appears that stretching irritates the xiphoid process somewhat but it's not inflamed. Sometimes it's because this piece of cartilage protrudes outward a bit in some people more than others.

1: Chondritis/Costchondritis of the X process or adjacent ribs;
2: Adjacent structures: Lungs= pneumonia or pleurisy;
Heart: Angina or pericarditis;
Stomach: gastritis, esophagitis, hiatal hernia;
Gall bladder infection/inflammation;
3: Referred pain from the spine due to a disc lesion or spinal stenosis.

See a doctor: Get examined and perhaps undergo some imaging studies.  You know this is not normal.  Go and get seen.
