lump on left side of head 2 cm behind ear. there for 2 months. if i apply pressure i can kind of flatten it out. had a ear infection 2months ago. 13yr?

Lymph node: Likely a post auricular lymph node, which often increases is size with local infections mostly skin and some viruses. Most of these are very tiny and lie over a bone called the mastoid. Have your doctor confirm this and continue to follow it until it is getting smaller.

had ear infection tht spread,  jaw cldnt open &  stabbing pain in head behind infected ear. pain in head has returned months later. shld i b concerned?

See you PCP: Always pay attention to a new or recurrent/worsening pain.  This could be a recurrent infection or mechanical damage from the previous infection.  Or maybe you are grinding your teeth at night.  A quick look in your ear and exam of the jaw and teeth should go a long way to ruling out these possibilities.  It is always better to have things evaluated early BEFORE they have a chance to spread.

painless firm lump directly below ear, directly behind left jaw bone, right in that crease. sometimes when opening mouth or lifting head up it'll move. no other symptoms other than random pains inside ear, but was cleared of ear infection months ago?

Blocked gland?: A sebaceous cyst is a collection of oily fluid that occurs when an oil gland is blocked.  Some folks are more prone to them than other and they often appear on the neck, shoulders, and back.  Try to avoid skin products that are oily.  I would also stay away from transfats and bad oils, which is good for overall health. Doc can diagnose and if that's the case, remove it.  Peace and good health.

Possible: Could be an outer ear infection-otitis externa
Sometimes a boil can feel the same way in the ear canal
If yo feel a bump, it might be an inflamed lymph node.
If persistent...please have it checked.

Yes: Otitis media, or a middle ear infection results in pus behind the eardrum.  As a result, pressure builds up.  If you have an ear infection you will need Motrin and antibiotics.

Not usually: You can have fluid behind the eardrum without infection -- colds, allergies, and other things can cause this.  It needs to be rechecked at some point to ensure it's resolving, but unless it does become infected, no treatment is necessary at this time.

Delayed development: so what it sounds like is the ear infection was incidental to the finding of developmental delay. There are many reasons for delayed development. There is speech and language, gross motor, fine motor skills developmental delay. Each category has its own reasons.

Pain, hearing issue: In acute otitis there is pain, decrease hearing in kids fever, vomiting and sometimes abdominal pain. In chronic form it decrease in hearing might be the only symptom.
