Possible: Could be an outer ear infection-otitis externa Sometimes a boil can feel the same way in the ear canal If yo feel a bump, it might be an inflamed lymph node. If persistent...please have it checked.

Possible.: A middle ear infection is usually associated with ear pain and decreased hearing or "popping" in ear. An external canal infection usually has drainage from the ear. The pinching behind your ear is not a common sign although a swollen lymp node may be felt as a pinch. Have someone take a look behind your ear for redness or irritation.
