Postoperative: Your cheek woud fell puffy bfore the anesthetic would wear off. However if your cheek is puffy following this you might have an infected tooth and you should return to the treating dentist to be evaluated.

Edema: Our circulation involves both blood vessels and lymphatics.  Both are sensitive to constrictive pressure resulting in swelling if not relieved.  This worsens with age and individual variation.  Avoid socks with any band-like constrictions, .

Stye?  allergies?: Have you been putting any drops or new products just in that eye?  Could be allergies.  Is there a localized swelling that is red and tender?  That is more like a chalazion--a stye--in which an oil gland becomes blocked and inflamed.

Infection: The area may just be irritated, but you want to make sure it is not infected. One sign would be any drainage from the area. To be safe have it looked at by your doctor.
