Dairy: You may be sensitive to dairy.  Your doc or a natural doc can order a food sensitivity lab test (great plains lab).  Even if not allergic or full blown you may be sensitive and need to avoid/replace certain foods.  The standard tests the doc gives may not be sensitive enough.  Peace and good health.

Yes: Mastocytoma is a solid mast cell tumor. It is rare. Solitary mastocytomas usually appear within the first 3 months of life and spontaneous involution is frequently observed. They may rarely appear in adulthood.Surgical excision offers a rapid, relatively simple and effective mode of treatment. Where is the location?

pressure in my forehead, worse leaning over and sense of imbalance. can't see ent until i get paid. bad sinus infection maybe? weather changes are bad

PND: Try to treat both of them and see how it works. For finding allergens you need allergy test so  you find the allergic agents and you stay away from it and also take otc  claritin at the time your allergy  is active. For lpr you start with otc zantac and see if it helps , if it does not you also start taking medications like otc prilosec on the top of zantac at different time of the day.

can i see a psychiatrist to treat my significant anxiety due to constant high frequency sounding tinnitus that is 24 hours a day? ent does not listen.

Yes you can: First they need to determine if it is pulsatile or non-pulsatile.Get an audiology exam. If you have severe tinnitus they then need to do an MRI of your internal auditory canal to determine if you have an Acoustic Neuroma. After that, the ENT should scope your eustachian tube, see if it is patulous. Hearing loss common cause. They have "tinnitus clinic" you can find at major academic centers.

ent: would you prescribe steroids (oral or intratympanic) for sudden worsening tinnitus 12 days ago with no hearing loss? saw an ent that recommended i observe and not treat. afraid it may come permanent. should i seek a second opinion?

: Tinnitus itself is a difficult process to treat, and most often occurs in context of hearing loss in older folks.  Can be a side effect of medications, recreational drugs, loud music--especially via head phones and rock concerts, and work related noise exposure.  Not clear if steroids really ever help.  Yes, get your second opinion, and consider evaluation for Meniere's?

ok, so my ent specialist has prescribed me a 30-day regimen of amitriptyline to treat my migraines (10 mg/day) ive looked in to this meds and im honestly  scared to take it after reading about it. are there other alternatives? (non-antidepressant)?

Talk to prescriber:  Agree with Dr. Ferguson. This is a common medication choice for chronic pain conditions and quite safe at that dose. Please respect the medical provider who prescribed it enough, to at least discuss your concerns with him/ her (rather than going to complete strangers on the internet).

1mnth ago i had severe vertigo&vomiting,no balance it lasted 5days.gp treated with antiviral.went to ent all clear.just had another episode that passed on its own within a day. still have some moment of vertigo.do i go back to dr or just live with it?

Treat vestibula: This sounds like a variant of Meniere's disease- a problem with the inner ear in which there is episode vertigo, inability to maintain balance, frequent loss of hearing from the involved ear, sometimes high pitched ringing.  The episodes end with normality.  Meclizine can help with these symptoms.  If frequent you should consult a neuro-otologist.  Living with it is very difficult.

severe tonsil enlargement meeting in midline resulting in sleep apnea. ent wants to treat with cpap over surgery due to bleeding risk. is this right?

Tonsils: get a second opinion. It would be reasonable to address the sites of anatomic obstruction.
