See pulmonologist: Anyone with chronic lung disease or problems who is on oxygen should work with their pulmonoligist (lung doctor) to determine whether they can travel to altitude. It will depend upon many factors including the underlying problem, how high the inteneded travel is, and how much oxygen is need at low altitude. Some may just need an increase in oxygen, some may not be able to go.

Oxygen: Unfortunately, this is a hard question to answer.  "normal" oxygen depends on a persons age, smoking history, lung and heart history, altitude of location and anemia.

Oxygen...: You don't need supplemental oxygen unless your pulse ox is less than 88%. Most healthy 35 year olds have an oxygen saturation of at least 95% but there can be many reasons for having an oxygen sat in the lower 90's including being overweight, bronchospasm, gerd, etc. So, if you are short of breath or if your oxygen sat is persistently in the low 90's, see your doctor for evaluation/treatment.

Oxygenation:  I can't speak to your individual case but blood oxygen levels of 76 to 89 are low - not normal.

86 year male got into vocal chord paralysis. doctor in hospital considering tracheostomy as a final option if steroids dont work. his oxygen is over 95 with oxygen on. is that procedure still necessary? can he eat and talk normally after procedure ?

: obviously, I can't answer specifically without knowing more about the situation.  However, in general, paralyzed vocal cords would block the airway without a tracheostomy.  They would block the trachea.  The tracheostomy provides an opening so oxygen can get in.  Most people can eat without issue.  Many people can talk by covering the tracheostomy temporarily, but  his vocal cords are paralyzed ?

my o2 sits between 96 to 98 97 avg resting. 39 male 208 pounds if i run about two blocks check it reads 93 sometime 95 then climbs to 98. if i go up stairs it goes as low as 92 on one meter 89 on another upon insertion then climbs to about 97 normal?

: Do you have any symptoms? Why were you checking 02 levels. What you described is not a cause for concern. You should consider losing weight if your BMI is more than  25.

night 2 of oximetry study on 21 mo male. testing for apnea which i don't think he has. o2 is solid. but heart rate is 140-160. is that normal?

Heart rate: That heart rate is a normal maximum HR as may occur intermittently during sleep, but it's an abnormal resting rate. Was it sustained (abnormal) or intermittent (normal)?

39 male notice if i climb stairs about 2 flights my legs feel like they are going g to give out. even running up hill. o2 resting is 97 98 after a run goes to 95 then goes up seen it as low as 93 after running. is this normal?

No: How was it measured while you were walking?  was it a test?
Oxygen saturation should never go below 90%
