See a doctor: You need to see a doctor. Without knowing exactly what is wrong with you it is impossible to know whether an over-the-counter medication would be helpful. Your symptoms are of some concern and i would suggest seeing a doctor as soon as possible.

ER/UC Clinic: I suggest immediate ER or UC evaluation. Your vertigo and nausea needs examination and blood testing: please do not ignore these symptoms- go now!

how is disembarkement syndrome diagnosed? was in a 4 hr flight couple of days ago and i still feel dizzy and fatigued. been taking meds for vertigo but looks like it doesnt help. are there any over the counter meds i can take?

: You may be dehydrated. Drink enough water so that your urine is mostly colorless. If that does not help, it would be prudent to see a doctor.

Need more info.: One cannot decide on a treatment without determining the underlying cause of the symptoms.  For example, if ones blood pressure falls below 90 mm systolic upon standing, the symptoms might be due to dehydration, in which case one can prevent the symptoms by drinking more fluids.  Other causes might require a more thorough physical exam.

i woke up today so dizzy everytime i move my head or stand up, also felt some bad nausea. i am in the er now, but is there any anti-dizziness medicine i can get over-the-counter to prevent it?

Complex Issue: I would like to know why you are getting dizzy before treating it.  Many things can cause dizziness such as ear infections, baro-reflex dysautonomia, regular or vestibular migraines, disorders of your inner ear, anemia, dehydration, and ms (very rare).  Please follow-up with your regular doctor if it recurs.  Some people tolerate Meclizine well but the cause of your dizziness needs to be found.

is it ok to continue taking metformin even if i don't have polycystic ovaries anymore? is it true it counters the effect of otc pills (weight gain)

Accepted Answer

Yes: If you have Insulin resistance or even diabetes metformin is fine to take.  Some people have lost weight on metformin, perhaps due to GI side effects.  I haven't heard that it can interfere with diet pills but those can be dangerous on their own.

i was taking antivert (meclizine) for dizziness, but sine it is expensive my drug plan does not cover it, my pharmacist says to take bonine an otc.  is this ok?

Antihistamine: Usually you will need an antihistamine with a decongestant but many people need a rx nasal spray to control the nasal symptoms.

Nothing: Gout is an inflammatory process. Taking Ibuprofen may help but you really need a prescription for some gout specific medications.
