Yes: There is no drug to prevent flu completely, even the vaccine. They decrease the severity of symptoms such body aches, malaise etc. Tamiflu (oseltamivir) helps better if you administer it atleast 48 hrs before the symptom onset. So if someone around you is sick, start taking it. The sooner the better. If you are pregnant,  talk to your doctor first whether to take it or not coz there are conflicting data.

Tamiflu (oseltamivir): This antiviral does not cure influenza like we think antibiotics will cure a skin infection.what it does is shorten the duration of the flu by inhibiting the flu virus from replicating itself.  Thus instead of lasting 7-10 days symptoms may only last 4-7 days. It does help prevent influenza in those exposed to the virus that are not symptomatic yet or give them a very limited disease.

3-5 days: The Tamiflu (oseltamivir) will shorten the course of the flu, but it must be taken soon after the onset of symptoms.

Cont with the Tamiflu (oseltamivir) for the course.
Keep pushing fluids as much as possible.

Tylenol or Advil for pain and temp.
See your DR if worsening or high temp
