Orange: I suspect since it was Orange and not red, it was from the Orange juice.  If it returns without drinking OJ, then the doctor can look into his mouth and brushing may be too rough in that case.

: The contents of the stomach, food and acid, or vomit, can often look yellowy orange, it is rarely bile unless you are very sick indeed. It is possible to inhale some regurgitant into the lungs and as they are self cleaning ( unless you smoke) you will cough up discolored phlegm. If it continues for a day you might what to ask your doctor what is wrong!

No risk of harm: Just drink a bunch of water. Your symptoms probably will clear up soon. There is no risk of serious harm.

? Tangier disease: Tangier disease is a rare familial disease.  The absence of alpha-lipoprotein causes very low levels of HDL cholesterol.  Your doctor can do blood tests.

: If you do not have fever, enlarged nodes anywhere in the body, the orange mouth is an incidental finding and is not diagnostic of mono. If you have any doubt, a blood test can provide an answer.
