Lymph Node: You could have swollen lymph nodes.  However the swollen lymph nodes suggest an inflammatory or infectious process happening in your body.  If this does not resolve I would seek medical evaluation to determine why you have swollen lymph nodes and why its bothering you.

i have a palpable lymph node on my submandibular, one at each side. they re not painful. they re movable. why is it palpable? help please

Node: Pretty common to have nodes in that area. Sometimes they are in response to dental issues or dehydration. Sometimes you are actually feeling the salivary glands themselves. Its good to have them checked out. Ultrasound or CT scan may be helpful

is it normal to have a "long"  (jugulardidastrict)lymph node enlarged for years? i also have 2 smaller marbelsized ones on the other side.
ive had them checked but they all say not to worry. im 19

Well what is normal?: Chronic lymph nodes that are enlarged usually indicate (if in the neck), chronic sinusitis, gingivitis, or other low grade infection. I would have your sinuses x-rayed!  and i believe you have been given correct advice!

Cannot tell: A large supraclavicular node may be due to many different things, and whether it needs to be biopsied depends on whether "hard" means stony hard, whether it is fixed to underlying tissues, tender, continuing to enlarge, how long it has been there and many other things will influence decision-making.  See your doctor and get this taken care of.

Needs evaluation: Enlarged lymph nodes can be reactive, responding to some infection for example, or reflect the presence of cancer.  Isolated enlargement of a supraclavicular node can be from infection or other benign causes, but it is unusual.  This should be checked out by a physician and possibly be biopsied.

why would my preauricular lymph node feel swollen on one side? is it a reason for concern?

Infection: It is most likely infection. If you have fever, chances are greater. It could be other things as well. See your doctor.

With or w/o pain: Swollen lymph nodes may mean inflammation/infection or change in your immune status. Painful lymph nodes point to infection. If they are not painful, it would be best to get it checked by your doctor.

Don't worry yet.: By your description, this sounds to be a benign lymph node enlargement.  Typically they go away within two weeks.  Certainly if this node doesn't go away in four weeks total, you should get an evaluation - typically this would include excision of the node for definitive diagnosis, unless an obvious reason for it to be there is otherwise found.

could be possibly transient swelling from an infection but please do see your physician as there can be a variety of reason for the enlargement, some of them serious and some non serious causes. A proper history, location and a physical exam would help your physician further diagnose the cause and effective. Treatment.
