I : I applaud your desire to have information before you arrive to the appointment.  A few questions would be helpful.  Did you ever have symptoms in the past?  Any involvement of your eyes?  Was the positive CSF oligoclonal bands or elevated igg index?

The information you presented best fits with a monsymptomatic presentation as defined by the mcdonald's criteria which was designed to define those individuals who are likely to develop ms.  To secure the diagnosis you would need another clinical event or a change in your MRI after 3 months. 
  
They will probably want further testing including veps (visual evoked potentials) or oct (optical coherence tomography).  The lab evaluation will include an ana, b12, folate, esr, vitamin d panel and routine labs.  They may also want a MRI of the thoracic spine if the exam suggests spinal cord involvement.

Discuss with Doctors: We can not comment on the results of the MRI and CAT SCAN.We don't know why the tests were ordered and what does the spot mean and it's location and interpretation by the Radiologist.You have to discuss these findinngs as they apply to you based on your clinical status

See neurologist: There are many reasons for 'lesions' or 'white spots' but there shouldn't be many in someone aged 48.  Would suggest seeing a neurologist for thorough evaluation and correlation between spots and clinical symptoms.

every time i cough my head hurts more in the same spot. i have a brain mri scheduled , is it safe to take antihistamine to stop cough? im concerned.

Cough: To suppress a dry hacking cough it is safe for you to take an antihistamine combined in cough syrup that has dextromethorphan(antihistamine DM elixir). The antihistamine may cause some drowsiness. You can ask your pharmacist to recommend one. Claritin is a non drowsy antihistamine but on its own, may not suppress a hacking cough.

Lots of things: "bright spots" on an MRI have various causes.  They can range from benign, insignificant findings to infections, injuries, metabolic problems and more.  An MRI is only a tool, and the findings need to be put in the context of the patient's clinical condition. Mri's are often ordered unnecessarily and then odd findings (like bright spots) can make a straightforward case much more confusing.

...hold on cowgirl!!: I've seen lots of scanned images with "white spots" that turned out to be artifact rather than tissue pathology...Similar to having a dirty lens on your microscope! there are some genetic markers for certain types of dementias that would be much more useful to you...And all it takes is a swab of the buccal mucosa inside your mouth, and, of course, a little money! seek more opinions on "white dots".

i have high calcium levels, brain mri showed spots in white matter, pain on right side abdomin.  dr mentioned aphasia-can all these be realted?  im 41

Not directly: Don't see how the abdominal issues would tie in. High calcium and brain lesions could have a unifying diagnosis. Aphasia means problems with speech, which could go along with brain lesions. Stay with the work up to get to the bottom of this.
