No. : A transient ischemic attack is due to a temporary (usually 1 hour or less) episode of neurological dysfunction of part of the brain( different symptoms such as numbness, weakness, speech or vision problems depending upon the part affected) due to ischemia (decreased blood supply) which can be caused by a clot in the blood vessel or a clot from somewhere else such as the heart or the carotid artery.

i had ocular migraines and one sided numbness and my brain mri results show increased signals to subcortical and it is 3mm causes?

Need further Eval: Ocular migraines are a diagnosis of exclusion--by which I mean that there cannot be another explanation for the changes in vision reported.  I am concerned about your subcortical changes on MRI and numbness, which could be the result of another neurologic diagnosis such as MS.  Please strongly consider an evaluation with a neurologist sooner rather than later....  Take care and stay healthy!

last two days feeling a bubbly/fizzing feeling in neck & upper spine. im lightheaded& head numbness seemed to show up with it. i have anterolisthesis & scoliosis,have being going to pt for arm numbness. & taking rizatriptan. should i be concerned?

: All symptoms, especially change in symptoms, should be reported to your treating Physician. The more information your Physician has, the better treatment t can be individualized. Call your Doc.

Be seen: I would certainly be seen and thoroughly evaluated for this, potentially an MRI or ct scan may be helpful to rule out an intracranial abnormality.

: Spinal stenosis does not cause whole body symptoms. It usually is from the level down. what you are describing would seem to be at the brain level. I would suggest an evaluation with a neurologist.

Well sure, but...: ...what you describe sounds pretty nonspecific. Further, you have not shared if any neurologic signs are present,  the duration or intensity of your symptoms, and whether a head imaging has been accomplished.

Numbness,  tingling: Great question. It is also complicated because it depends on how each person feels and describes a sensation (and can overlap). Typically numbness refers to a decrease in sensation, while tingling usually refers to a pinprick like sensation. An example: your arm "falls asleep" by being in an atypical position for too long. It may feel numb at first, but as it returns to normal, may feel tingle.

Many items: The fluctuation from side to side is unlikely to be due to a stroke or even focal decreased blood vessel flow.  Many migraine patients due experience problems with auras, and this can include facial numbness, and, if headaches are associated perhaps this is the answer.  But clearly, this is troubling you, and need to have evaluated by your doctor.

Pain in the neck: or cervicalgia, is the most common syndrome seen in PCP practice. May be due to a muscle strain or ligament sprain and with associated symptoms headache, numbness, facial pain or TMJ. See your PCP for consultation, tests and treatment.
