Not usually: dvt will usually have swelling and warm extremity. Sometimes varicose veins or venous insufficiency can lead to discoloration of the extremity. The temperature changes are unusual but possible with venous engorgement. If persistent then you should have an evaluation.

Look to see : If the feet are actually cold just feeling cold. If they are really cold i would consider raynaud's or poor circulation.

Possibilities: If actually are cold to touch, may be some form of circulatory problem. If there feel cold but when you touch them they are actually warm, then  some form of neuropathy is probably present.

Bundle Up: Wearing warm clothing is the number one answer. Second - try drinking warm beverages to heat up the inside of your body. Lastly - there are warm "packs" that you can get to safely keep feet and hands warm - check out your local "outdoors" store.

: When your feet are in a dependent position it's common to see purplish discoloration as unoxygenated  blood pools in the veins. However I wouldn't expect the skin to actually feel cold. That would be a sign of spasm or blockage in the arterial side of the circulation. Your MD can examine you and answer these questions.

Vascular: Could be a circulation issue or connective tissue disorder (raynauds). See ur local PCP

Circulation issue: You are describing a circulation imbalance. It  would be helpful to see your doctor for an evaluation. When hands/feet/fingers/toes get ice cold (and worse any cold environment) raynaud's may be a consideration. If you are  a smoker that adds to the problem. I would also consider a chinese medicine evaluation as chinese medicine can correct imbalances and improve circulation problems.
