Micatin, (miconazole) lotrimin: Micatin, lotrimin, lamisil, (terbinafine) undecalynic acid and tolnaftate are over the counter creams for fungus. If the fungus is involving hair follicles it my not totally respond to topical medications and may require oral prescription antifungals from your doctor. Expect about two weeks for clearing.

Culture first!: Culture first.  Systemic therapy works best.  Fluconazole is a good first start.  Zinc deficiency is common in patients with chronic or recurrent fungal infections!

after having a pedicure done, i noticed a fungus-type of growth on my foot. it has spread from heel to between toes, also spread to two of my fingers. looks like bubbles. used travacort ointment, did not work / keeps spreading rapidly ?

Other options : This sounds like athletes foot from what you have described. However given the area involved and still spreading, I would recommend seeing your doctor. They can provide a more accurate diagnosis. They may consider taking an oral regimen to resolve this problem.

Keep using the cream: Keep using the cream, probably twice a day.  I imagine that it is just itching madly as there is a war going on in you skin and that fungus doesn't want to leave.  Get pramasone at any local pharmacy and store it in the refrigerator.  Use it 5-6 times a day in between your anti fungal cream to get the itch temporarily under control.  If this isn't improving in 2-4 weeks, get rechecked.

Depends on type...: The skin can become infected with several different types of fungus.  One common type of fungal infection is called tinea versicolor.  This can be treated by washing regularly with over the counter shampoos that contain selenium sulfide (certain type of "dandruff" shampoos).

: This has to be examined and possibly tested(culture etc) before an accurate diagnosis can be made and the treated. Pl see a dermatologist. In the meantime use an antibacterial soap to bathe. Hope you do well.
