eating nuts and feels like i have a piece stuck in right side of throat how  can i get it out

Foreign body: Greetings. The best advice is to gargle aggressively to move the piece of food. There is a chance that this piece of nut has already passed. It may have caused a scratch to the sensitive mucus membranes in your throat area. If the gargle doesn't work see your ENT doctor who can look at this area with an endoscope in the office setting. If something is there, it can often be removed right there.

sometimes i get food coming back up throat, what does that mean?

Hard to say: Without more information.  Some people unconsciously ruminate(regurgitate) as more of a psychologic issue.  But others regurgitate due to true organic issues with swallowing whether it be related to an anatomic obstruction or lack of coordination of the swallowing muscles.  Nonetheless, see your doc about this.

if i get a lingual frenectomy surgery i have seen people putting their tongues at the back of their throats im not getting the surgery this is just a example and a question but is it possible that you can die by doing this?

: No. You cannot die by making your tongue fold back into your throat.

how do i get a hair out of the back of my throat?

Coughing or drinking: If the hair is causing symptoms like coughing sometimes hard coughing can dislodge and remove it by swallowing or you can drink fluids and see it washes down the esophagus in any case you should not manually try to remove it.  If causing major symptoms you must see and ENT specialist.

Maybe"dependent"LPR?: Avoid foods &amp; behavior that delay stomach emptying &amp;/or relax the lower esophageal sphincter--spicy, greasy food, mints, alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, tomato-based products, caffeinated &amp; fizzy drinks, eating before bedtime. Lose weight. Elevate head of bed on blocks. Use otc acid blockers for relief (h2's: tagamet, zantac, (ranitidine) pepcid; ppi's: prilosec, prevacid,nexium). See a GI doctor if persists.

why does excessive mucus run down the back of my throat and choke me? i do a lot of coughing trying to get it the mucus up.

Sinus issues: You may have an alllergic or non allergic rhinitis or an infection of your sinuses. You can try otc allergy meds and nasal saline. If they do not work see a doctor (ent or allergist), who can evaluate you and prescribe appropriate medication.

im a 43 yr old woman and the back of my throat gets dry even during my sleep to a point i need to get water. whats wrong and cause ?

: Dry throat during sleep can simply be an environmental problem. Try using a humidifier in your bedroom to increase the moisture level in the air. This will be especially helpful in the winter when heated inside air loses much of its moisture. You should also check your medications to make sure dry mouth is not one of the side effects. Oral lubricants such as Biotene can help with this.

hello. i seem to get quite a bit of phleghm in the back of my throat daily, normally in morning and again around 11am-12pm approx. any ideas why?

Phlegm: Plegm is thickened and increased in dehydration, increase your water  for morning phlegm. You may also have some food allergies or sensitivities.

is it possible to get a single pea stuck in the back of your throat? it feels like it's there and i've tried everything to get it out. what to do?

Yes it's possible: ENT may be able to get it out. If u are choking please go to ER, but that may be u'r best overall. Concern would be it gets into lung. If that occurs u will need a pulmonologist. Heimlich also. Avoid sticking finger in mouth-throat to try and get it out as u may push in more.

something is collecting in the back of my throat. it is like a small chuck of food. i can get it out,  then in another or so there is another month. ?

Tonsil stones: You likely have tonsil stones (tonsillolith) developing - these are harmless bits of calcified material that develop in the crevices of your tonsils. They can make it feel like you have bits of food back there.  Sometimes these can be gently removed with a qtip or a water irrigator.  Talk to an ENT doctor if they're really bothersome.
