Foreign body: Greetings. The best advice is to gargle aggressively to move the piece of food. There is a chance that this piece of nut has already passed. It may have caused a scratch to the sensitive mucus membranes in your throat area. If the gargle doesn't work see your ENT doctor who can look at this area with an endoscope in the office setting. If something is there, it can often be removed right there.
