Neck Vs. Ulnar Nerve: Could be a pinched nerve in your neck  and could also be an ulnar nerve neuropathy given your history of diabetes.  If this bothers you enough you may consider an emg/ncs study to evaluate this further or even get an MRI of your neck. To evaluate.

Lots of: possible explanations....CUBITAL tunnel syndrome = pressure on the ULNAR nerve (this is the "distribution" of your pain, or compression at the wrist is possible. More information and an in person visit to your PCP is recommended.

Check the elbow 1st: While multiple sclerosis can certainly cause focal numbness like you describe, ulnar neuropathy (usually a pinched nerve at the elbow) is a much more common cause, especially if the numbness is made worse by certain postions of the arm (for example, propping the elbow on a table or car window).  Try avoiding elbow pressure for a few days- a neurologist can help confirm this if things don't improve.

Cubital tunnel: It could be cubital tunnel syndrome - a pinched nerve at the elbow. A hand surgeon can make the definitive diagnosis and treat.

Ulnar nerve: A numb little finger is usually due to compression of the ulnar nerve.  The most common place to compress it is at the elbow, sometimes by sleeping one your back with the elbow bent and the "funny bone" part of the elbow pressing against the bed.  Another place to compress is at the wrist--usually by bending the wrist.  If you sleep with your elbow bent a lot,  there are ways to prevent that.

Ulnar: Description suggests a localized problem from the ulnar nerve, perhaps at wrist or elbow (more likely). An EMG test might well localize and diagnose. See your doctor and get started.

More like neuropathy: Numbness has a large differential diagnosis meaning that many different things can cause it. Some are benign and a few are more serious. Best to review your entire history and be examined by a doctor. A good internal medicine, family practicioner, or neurologist should be able to help.

Several causes: The tip of the little finger miss incinerated by the lunar nerve. At the elbow the lunar nerve is relatively shallow and exposed to trauma of various kinds. People call this the crazy bone, but injury to the lunar nerve is what happens. Also the small digital artery that supplies it if damaged can cause numbness, but then often the finger tip is blue, white. If it persists over a week see your doc.

hurt my medial side of elbow against door. cant flex my arm shooting severe pain, little finger is ok no parasthesias or numbness. have i hurt ulnar?

Owner nerve was contacted: Your history and symptoms suggest you did hit the ulnar nerve. Long-term damage is unlikely however short term will be painful.Cold compresses to the area may be helpful as well as taking a med like Aleve (naproxen) if this kind of medication is safe for you. Do not lift, push, pull or carry anything on the affected side until pain and swelling  has resolved. If no resolution in a week call your MD.

numbness in fourth and little finger and down arms. numbness in toes when standing for a length of time. diagnosed autoimmune illnesses. any ideas?

Uncertain: The left  arm could also be C-7 T-1 radiculopathy (pinched nerve inthe neck). The toe numbness may not even be  neurologic and could be  parasthesias. What immune illness you have if you have one may or may not  be involved. See a neurologist.
