Numbness : It sounds like a nerve problem. I wonder if your use of the scissors caused it. It can be a nerve problem in the neck, arms, or wrist.

?carpal tunnel syndr: You probably have acquired a wrist synovitis, maybe through keyboarding, which is causing compression of median nerve at wrist.  Recommend you let your doctor know about this, as simple to reverse.

Ulnar neuropathy: in healthy young person nerve symptoms in pinky and ring finger are classic for compression/irritation of the ulnar nerve at the elbow.  think:  lots of keyboard use or arms on the armrests reading.  Solution:  notice sources of pressure on your nerve at that elbow and reduce it for two weeks.  IF the symptoms persist, go to a neurologist.

Arm pain...: Without other history and an exam it's hard to tell... It could be a nerve impingement or something more serious.  See your doc and get it checked.

Subungual hematoma: Blood clot under the nail may expand by incorporating fluid from the surrounding tissue. You symptoms should subside in a few days. If you still have symptoms at two weeks after the incident, see a doctor.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Neuropathies can be diagnosed clinically or with the use of a nerve conduction study. Please see your physician. Management initially includes wrist splints and at times medications.
