i have a numb tongue from waking up  after surgery. it's all gone but one spot what could have happened?

How Long ago was it?: It is not uncommon to give local injections in oral surgeries or give topical local to make the intubation less uncomfortable. The local from that could last a while. Also, you could have had compression of your tongue that caused nerve injury.  That can take longer to come back. Let your anesthesiologist know.

i feel a tiny numb spot on the side of my tongue,what could this be its my only symthom,yet oral surgeon says healthy tongue and nuero says its stress?

Reduce swelling: Possibly there is some swelling of the nerve to that area. Possibly you bit it and it is still swollen, but not enough to see on examination.
Ask your doctor about using papain and bromelain to reduce any swelling. For my patients I use Clear.ease, one 4x a day, melt in mouth between cheek and gums.
A good way to reduce stress is to count your inhale four and exhale six.

i swished lidocaine in my mouth. i haven't used it since in days. spot is not numb anymore, but a quarter of my jaw is. why? and will it go away?

See dentist ASAP: The effects of rinsing with Lidocaine should only last about an hour or so. If you are still felling numb days later, then something else is going on and you should have it evaluated.

i have noticed a brown little spot in my mouth on my inner cheek, nothing big and recently half of my lip is numb what could this be?

Get evaluated: There is no way to diagnose "a little brown spot" over the internet. It could range from a freckle to blood spot to something more serious. I doubt it's related to your numbness which really concerns me. It should concern you too. See a local dentist for an evaluation.

i just had my wisdom teeth extracted two weeks ago. my tongue is very sore and kind of numb in spots. my glands feel swollen also. what could be wrong?

See an oral surgeon : or the dentist. Pain and swelling following dental extraction is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery, after that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop.Two weeks and lack of sensation shows that it may require attention and treatment. You should call your dentist or an oral surgeon for follow up appointment, for evaluation. Good luck.

had root canal on bottom left last tooth today. dentist took a x-ray after & said it looked great. put temp filling in. im experiencing pain & soreness in my mouth, and especially in my jaw in one spot. normal? i had multiple injections to get numb.

Not unusual: After those injections and all that work on your mouth and tooth and after the local anesthetic wore off, I don't think your symptoms are concerning at this time. If symptoms worsen or discomfort persists, notify the endodontist.

Unknown: It should not make your tongue numb, but could have some affect on taste.  There is not long term data or studies on e-cig use, tough, so not much is really known on the side effects, or harm in use.  Many medications can affect taste, as well.

numbness: A long standing numbness anywhere in the mouth if
its long standing is not a good sign. Do not wait
see an oral surgeon for 
evaluation asap. It could be a serious sign of something wrong.
