hi. my daughter got stung by a bee yesterday on her hand. this morning her hand was swollen, warm to the touch and itchy. gave her allergex. she says now her hand is numb. the finger is still swollen. should i be concerned? or continue with allergex?

Arthus reaction: This sounds like a classical arthus reaction to the sting.It is not the scary dangerous bee sting reaction, but represents a protective response.The body turns local capillaries into soaker hoses that flood the area with serum to dilute the bite toxins.That slows/dilutes the effect on the body.The swelling can take days to fade/itch/be warm.Allergex may help the itch but won't change the timetable

Herpes Type1?: Sounds like this could be herpes and you should see your primary care physician in the morning. He/she may put you on anti-virals. If it is zoster your immune system might be compromised.

It can be a temporary condition, or in some cases, is more persistent. There are various treatments that can help.  A dermatologist can verify this or after examining the skin diagnose a different condition.

i take a photo class, and my fingers were in the chemistry and are red and itchy, how do i clean/treat it?

Gentle soap: Cleanse with gentle unscented soap like dove or  basis soap, rinse well, then apply moisture cream such as vanicream or eucerin while still damp.  Add 1%hydrocorisone cream 2 times a day also, for the itching and inflammation.  Wear protective gloves in photo class!

Fugal infection: Usually this is fungal infection. Use fungal cream and see a dermatologist for further evaluation.

Finger: If at joint may be synovial cyst- lining joint has been pinched and produces nodule containing synovial fluid. Often appear with clear top and it's tempting to pop it. Can not tell w/o actual picture of lesion.  Best leave alone. Many possibilities but more info needed.

Finger wound: Any injury which results in continued discharge should be seen by dermatologist. If you have not seen a dermatologist to diagnose this problem, you definitely should.
