See answer below: Novantrone is used in patients with both relapsing-remitting and secondary progressive ms. It is a second line agent, after other agents failed to benefit the patient. It reduces the frequency of relapses and delays disease progression. Routine echocardiograms need to be obtained prior to each infusion. Infusions are administered every 3 months and limited to 8-9 infusions per lifetime.

1st time treatment?: Novantrone is not normally used as the first therapy for MS.  It is used for secondary progressive MS, which occurs in people who have had MS for a long time.  Some people prefer not to use novantrone.

If this is the only treatment that has been offered to you, it may be a good idea to seek a 2d opinion.

Usually not: I presume you know you didnt "bang" the bone...So if it has lasted a while see your dr. Who will tke a full history and examine you..An allergy would be unusual.

Tetanus shot : A sore arm is the expected side effect. Any allergic to reaction would have occurred by now such as rash and difficult breathing and GI symptoms

Typical symptoms would be mouth itching or soreness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, hives, itching or rarely in more severe cases trouble breathing, drop in blood pressure (shock), or death.  You only need one or two of these symptoms to suspect an allergy.
