for the past two weeks i have had this burning sensation on my neck and back. i feel it when i shower or bath, my back literally feels like it is on fire but theres no rash. same thing happens on my neck. what could be the cause of that?

Burning sensation in: If this symptom only occurs during a shower and you have no other skin symptoms other times or severe dryness of your skin, I suspect some release of certain chemicals in your nerves or skin on contact with hot water is the cause of this symptom. Some people develop severe itching after a hot shower. Try using not so hot water in the shower to determine if that's the cause.

: It may be due to either too cold or too hot water. If you can arrange to take your bath with water closer to body temperature, it may avoid the "rash". However. the "rash" is not harmful.

Check it out: There are a number of bacterial infections that are water borne.  Treatments will vary.   Your doctor can choose wheat is best.

No.: Not bathing will not cause a rash. In fact, in most countries of the world, most people do not bathe every day.  If your child has a rash, see your pediatrician or a dermatologist and find out what is really causing it.

Antihistamine: A hives allergic reaction is very likely. Watch for breathing/swallowing difficulty, itching and vomiting. If these occur, please see the ED.
The response to antihistamine indicates a possible allergic reaction. Continue to take the antihistamine for a few more days, since allergic reactions may take days to weeks to clear up. Avoid contact with any possible triggers, including new food exposure.

Some basics: The rash of scabies is a combination of factors. The mite burrows under the skin disturbing it. The body also reacts to mite feces left in the burrows with an allergic rash. Clearing requires both death of the scabies &amp; a calming of the allergic response. The process can take weeks. A warm bath increases itching, cool water does less.

This : This is a bit tricky to answer without a picture and more clinical information.  I doubt it was from the blood draw.  This time of year it could be many things including a medication reaction, eczema, a viral exanthem, psoriasis, dry skin from low humidity, and many others.  Perhaps a visit to a dermatologist would be helpful for diagnosis and treatment options.  I hope that helps a little!
