i have just got over norovirus and now i have really bad gerd......is this a common after effect or have i now developed this for good?......

Not necessarily : May be due to the stress o the illness. I wouldn't worry that your gerd symptoms are permanent. If they persist however, see you doctor for a consultation.

what can stomach flu be from?  i have severe cramps, heartburn and gas for the past three days especially after i finish eating

Doubt flu: Your symptoms pint towards a digestion problem rather than a stomach flu. Please consult your doctor if it continues.

my gerd was under control with prilosec. three days after the stomach flu hit it's awful again. is there a connection?

Give it some time.: A "stomach flu" can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and "heartburn" that can mimic your usual GERD, and it can be so relentless that your Prilosec is simply not helping right now.  It's doubtful that this stomach flu in the short term would have worsened your GERD for the long term.  Give it a few more days and hopefully you'll start feeling better in this regard.

i have been taking dexilant (dexlansoprazole) for a few years for gerd , heartburn, etc and it does it great job.  recently i have been experiencing constipation and ga?

What is your diet: Make sure you had your colonoscopy check your diet what are you eating.   Watch especially sugarless products cause a lot of gas probably not the devil ant but you should talk to your gi or primary to see if you can decrease discontinue it

Quite possible: Cough after eating sounds like possibly gerd related, but bloating and gas are not so typical. Gerd can cause what's known as cough variant asthma, which is caused by stomach acid irritating your airway. Not herd related...

Gas: There's a good chance that you're a gas swallower. Many of us swallow lots of air during the day and get bloated that way. If you're drinking lots of beverages during the day you likely are swallowing lots of gas with them, especially if they're carbonated. If you suck on candy, etc. Pay attention to this and you  may be able to decrease it. Simethicone can decrease the size of your gas bubbles.

Question: You have constipation and gas? Your question is not clear.
You can use OTC antiacid mediciation and I strongly suggest a GI evaluation. If you have already been diagnosed with GERD, you will need to be tested for h. pylori and treated with PPI therapy.

i have growling and loud popping noise gas/air. had took medicine for gerd but noise is still its been bout 3 wks what could it be. hope nothing bad?

Gas: We hope so too. I would ask the gastroenterologist if your digestion is working satisfactorily. Were you taking any antibiotics before this? Most cases are not anyting serious.

Can be: Can be. 'trapped gas' can feel like bloating, which can also happen with constipation (difficulty moving you bowels)
