Not likely: Gastroparesis is more of a chronic condition that is a result of anatomical injury or as a consequence of another more serious, long term, systemic illness (for example diabetes). More importantly, if you are having GI symptoms that are concerning to you or causing discomfort, I would recommend being seen by a physician in person to discuss further. Hope you feel better soon!

: The average incubation period for norovirus-associated gastroenteritis is 12 to 48 hours, with a median period of approximately 33 hours. Mask would not prevent norovirus as it is not airborne. It is spread through contact with the virus. You need to wash your hands with soap and water to avoid contacting the virus.

Depends on underlyin: Life expectancy's hard to answer; it depends on the patient's underlying conditions (cancer? autoimmune disease? diabetes? neurologic diagnosis?) more so than on gastroparesis per se. Gastroparesis just means that the food transits slowly. It says nothing about whether the food is nutritive, or if the nutrient absorption is poor. So nutrition may be good in gastroparesis.
