What are the complications of gastroparesis?

Malnutrition: Untreated gastroparesis can cause nausea, indigestion, and fullness or bloating. It can lead to weight loss and malnutrition. Gastroparesis can be caused by medications such as prescription pain pills. It can be a complication of diabetes, or occur on its own (idiopathic). There are medications which work in some patients, but treatment can be difficult.
