my doctor just called and told me my thyroid is overative and the t3 (liothyronine) is twice has high and t4 is normal. and that was it. what does it mean? should i change something? how do i get it back to normal?

T3 (liothyronine) and T4: 1: If you don't have symptoms please relax for now.
2: If your TSH was not measured it should be.
3: Your doctor should have sent you to the Radiology department for careful examination of your thyroid gland. If that did not happen ask for a referral to an Endocrinologist.

Not sure of question: It sounds like your doctor found a "mass" in your neck above your collar bone and recommended an MRI. This confirmed the presence of lymph nodes in the same area, some of which were slightly large, at the upper ("top normal") limit of normal. These could be reactive... responding to some inflammation/infection nearby or neoplastic (tumor). Depending on other symptoms, observation or biopsy is next

Hypothyroidism: Different doctors will initiate therapy at different levels of thyroid underactivity. Most endocrinologists treat earlier rather than later. See an endocrinologist is you are not satisfied with your pcp's opinion.

Overactive thyroid: It is called hyperthyroidism. Some symptoms are difficulty concentrating, fatigue, large thyroid in neck, frequent bowel movements, increased appetite, heat intolerance, increased sweating, irregular menstrual periods in women, nervousness, restlessness, weight loss, high blood pressure, hair loss, tremors, itching, diarrhea, upset stomach, eyes protruding (exophthalmos).

See your  doctor: Conveying pathological report on the phone is not a good practice , first phone conversation breaks confidentiality , doctor has to make a note , able to give you full information. Even if the report is not pleasant , in general thyroid malignancies are curable , have over all excellent prognosis , or simply doctor wants to inform you in person , don't  worry too much.

Diet supplements: They don't really say what is in it ("proprietary......") but it appears to be all ground up food of some kind.   Just take your synthroid (thyroxine) on an empty stomach and you will likely be fine.  Do you really need this stuff?

No one knows: This supplement has never been studied with regard to how it might impact levothyroxine bioavailability. No way to respond to your question with anything to back up an answer.

Difficult to say: There can be a number of reasons why a woman may not get her period. Although the thyroid can affect the period pregnancy is a more common reason, meds, stress and other diseases can affect it also.   If it has not come in more than 6 wks you should probably be evaluated for different causes.
