Yes: The more important number is what is called the absolute monocyte count, which is derived by multiplying your WBC count by the percentage of monocytes (i.e. In your case 3.68 times 20% which equals about 0.73).  Your absolute monocyte count is normal.  When greater than 1.5, it could represent a problem.

just had a few tests done and am wondering if it is normal to be in above high normal in the following categories. i do not have a spleen, am feeling normal. monocytes/100 leukocytes eosinophils/100 leukocytes basophils/100 leukocytes?

: The normal differential of white cells in normal person with an intact spleen which you see in normal lab report (reference range) is different from a person without spleen. You should concern if the total white cell count is too low or two high and forget about the differential unless the percentage is remarkably out of range.

Don't panic: Monocytes are a type of white blood cell found in the differential of a white blood cell count. Your level is just barely outside the upper range of normal and thus I would not be too worried that it is something extremely serious. Things like stress, inflammation, or fighting off some kind of infection can cause this to be increased at times.With yours not being that high, just watch, don't panic

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your results are not a cause for concern.

Your CBC: It's good that you're interested in your bloodwork, and nobody here can diagnose you or even say whether illness is present without more data, beginning with "How do you feel?" WBC absolute counts fluctuate wildly even from hour to hour. The best course may just be to repeat the count. Absolute neuts &amp;/or lymphs below 1000 are worrisome but there's no danger until much lower levels.

Wouldn't be odd: Some of the symptoms/lab changes seen in mono can linger for up to 3 months. I would not loose any sleep over this one test.
