Heart rate: The normal range of resting heart rate is considered 60-100, but many people have lower heart rates than that and are in good health. Physical fitness like running, cycling, swimming often leads to lower hr and some people are normal even in the 40's range. If you have high bp, some meds lower the hr, such as beta blockers.

Contact MD: But i would like to know what else is going on: do u have  a cold/flu, have u changed ur diet, ....? I generally advise my patientto reduce 9not stop) their meds when BP is less than 120 (but bottom # must be less than 85, also). Have some tea ; maybe go to local walk in center, er islast choice, not 1st for my patients.

Between 60&80: Normal heart rate is betwen 60 &80 . Regardless if u have HTN or not.

Accepted Answer

No -- incorrect: Ssri's affect serotonin reuptake only.  There are some like effexor, cymbalta, and pristiq, (desvenlafaxine) which have additional effects beyond serotonin -- these are technically "snris" (serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors).  Reports of tachycardia are rare with ssri's, and can happen with snri's.  BP can also be affected with snri's.  These effects need monitoring, but ssri's ; snri's can be safe.

Afib: Any previous history of irregular heartbeat? She will need to have at least an ekg done to confirm a possible arrhythmia. Talk to your doctor.

Normal heart rate: Is anywhere between 60 and 100 bpm, but circumstances matter as well as accuracy of measurement. Checking heart rate and collecting data with no clear goals may create anxiety. An easy thing to do would be to check your radial pulse and compare with the rate reported by the app. Resting heart rate is usually lower and that is why I suspect your app may be misreporting.

Normal : "high normal" is still considered "normal". Therefore medical therapy is  not generally recommended. Sometimes a more rapid heart rate is related to other possible causes e.g. Anxiety or hormonal. Discuss further with your physician.

Can be anxiety, but: You need a full medical evaluation of this problem to be sure.  You also list "headache, pain, dizziness" in your clinical findings -- and they may be connected with your blood pressure changes.  BP and pulse can vary, as these respond to activity level.  If associated with symptoms, they need investigation. Please start by seeing your family physician.
