wondering on what can i do when having a high normal blood sugar around the (fasting)95-98 range? should i worry or is that a normal blood sugar? im 22, no diabetes but i want to become more healthy, so what is an ideal blood sugar range to have?

Diabetes diagnosis: The normal fasting blood sugar is 126. If you have had the specimen drawn at least 8 hours after your last meal with nothing but water to drink, it should be accurate. If a value over 126 is found, I usually repeat the test to verify and then have a face to face discussion about the treatment plan.

DIABETES: It should be less than 140 mg/dl regardless of your meal or activity. But, many people remain less than 110 mg/dl depending on their meal ; activity after eating food; such as walking even for 15 minutes. In pregnancy, we check one hour postprandial and it should be less than 120 mg/dl or 6 mmol/l. In elderly type 2 patients as long as the 2 hr postprandial remains less tban 160mg/dl, it is accept.

i get blurry vision after eating starch sugar or carbs. and my blood glucose will be between 111 and 128 using my handheld glucose meter. why such strong fatigue if thats normal ranges? sugar and carbs make me feel strange yet glucose under 130 why?

Don't get your life: With diabetes, you need to be monitored closely as you experiment. Don't expect miraculous results from swapping calories from one group to another. It's much more to your credit that you're exercising, and this will be a huge help to you -- as will simply being pro-active about your health. Best wishes.

: Normal no fasting glucose levels for a non diabetic is 80-140. A desired.glucose after a meal for the diabetic patient is under 180 while a good reading for a random blood glucose is 125 or lower.

Ideally less than150: But as you know very hard to achieve. But that was not the question you asked. Normal blood stars should not be below 60 though most children will have reactions far above this number because they are used to living too hogh. A low blood sugar reaction is not caused by a number but how rapidly the blood sugar drops do a child may have a reaction at a number of 100 if they were really high before.

No: Do get checked from time to time. If it's over 126 mg/dL perhaps on more than one occasion, the diagnosis might be made.

Hormonal problem?: The most common symptoms of dm is excess thirst and excess urination. Low levels of anti-diuretic hormone can cause these same symptoms. Certain people will  respond to stress by excreting excessive levels of cortisol. Chronic high cortisol could also lead to thirst and urination. Certain kidney problems can cause thirst and urination. Get checked by your doc.  If you have normal a1c you're not dm.

Blood Sugar: Normal is to be sitting under 99 mg/dl. 300 to 400 is an emergency.
