No: Noises (i am presuming gas noises) in the abdomen with "no other symptoms" is not a gallbladder condition. Gallstones cause abdominal pressure pain ; nausea after eating. Review your test results and your symptoms with your doctor.

Sure: your med list make it seem you are modulating hormones that can have effects throughout the GI tract. I don't think there is any specific pathway, but so many factors contribute to gall bladder function. Sometimes simplifying diet (usually some version of 'no wheat, no sweet, no full milk, full milk products, or milk fed meat' is helpful.

hello. i have been having constipation on/off for years. recently, i found out i have biliary dyskinesia. i wonder if my constipation issues are connected to my gallbladder/liver. is chronic constipation a symptom of a poor functioning gallbladder?

: Usually, Biliary dyskinesia and constipation are not related. I would start by being sure that you’re ingesting you are a fiber in your diet and lots of liquids. Your Gastronenterologist can give you other suggestions depending on your test results. Good luck.

my 17 yr old son had a hida scan yesterday. it came out showing his function was 80%. he has been having symptoms of gallbladder issues for two weeks. throwing up or nausea after eating, and upper right quadrant pain. do i need to look into removal?

: No, there is no reason to have gallbladder removed yet, the workup should be extended to other possible causes for his symptoms, keep his pediatrician involved in further decisions.

DIET OR SURGERY: If your gallbladder is malfunctioning or non-functioning, and is symptomatic, it would best to have it removed.  This is done laparoscopically as an outpatient  in most situations.  A low fat diet can moderate or eliminate the symptoms, but once the gallbladder is removed there is no restrictions.  If you have no symptoms, nothing needs to be done, but the gb can't be revitalized.  Good luck.

Liver sludge: The problem that caused gall stones is still there. Liver produces the bile which needs b6 as pyridoxal 5 phosphate and phosphatidyl choline. Once the bile flow normalizes pain will stop.

Pain & nausea: If the gallbladder is blocked from gallstones & not functioning then abdominal pains with nausea & vomiting may occur. If the gallbladder has no gallstones and fills on nuclear scan without emptying, then depends on the person's symptoms which could be pain & nausea. If no symptoms then the diagnosis of non functioning gb is suspect.
