Skin rash: Many kinds of skin rash could behave this way. Most non-blanching red spots are NOT petechieae. If this has persisted for some time and you are otherwise well, probably it's nothing serious. But see a dermatologist to figure out what's going on.

Purple spots: Where?, how long ? is it getting  worse?  How large? Red  could be fungal infection, eczema, psoriasis, or petechiae o rerythema marginatum ( from strep, rarely heart association) . Red/ purple could be  erythema nodosum-strep  autoimmune disease, infection-mycoplasma, cat scratch, medications-sulfa/PCN, rarely lymphoma.,  Follow up today with doc

Sounds like: what you are describing could be petechiae or ecchymoses.  This could be cause by drug/chemical exposure, insect bite, injury, or undiagnosed bleeding disorder.  It is best to show them to your doctor.

: Tinea pedis (athlete's foot) can start out this way.  Another possibility is dyshidrosis.  You could try an antifungal powder/spray and see if this takes care of the problem.  If it is not getting better, would see your physician.

: Bowen disease is a form of a type of skin cancer. Although it might be a bit vascular, it generally shouldn't blanch completely. If truly bowens disease, it should be treated often with surgically removal or topically with one of a few anti cancer meds.

: Many things are possible in life but skin cancer in a teen is almost too rare to worry about. That said, there are a few teens with skin cancer somewhere in the country. A spot that swells and itches a bit like a hive or bug bite, but swells/itches for no apparent reason, might be a mole-like spot that contains "mast cells" that release histamine. Dermatologist can look at it in-person or online.

Avoid any irritation: if it's not painful and doesn't itch, you probably don't have to take any action. However you do need to avoid scratching a plane with it. Avoid any kind of friction.avoid putting any substance or chemicals on it. If it's just a simple mosquito bite, pimple should go away on its own. Give it another week if it's still not bothering you.
