Low oxalate: Calcium oxalate stone formers are often advised to eat a low oxalate diet. Many foods contain higher levels of oxalate, including (but not limited to) dark leafy greens, nuts, dark chocolate, black tea, and beans.  The less oxalate one eats, the less will be excreted into the urine to pair with calcium ions and crystallize into stones.  Most stone patients do not need to limit their calcium intake.

Stones or crystals?: Urinalysis shows crystals, not stones. Stones are passed or found on imaging. Many folks have calcium oxalate crystals as urine cools & these are not calcium stones. If you have in fact passed or been discovered to have a calcium stone, the key to prevention is drinking lots of water and checking for underlying disease (sarcoid, hyperparathyroidism). Too late!: Sorry to give you disappointing news, but it is rare to grow after age 16-18, in fact most girls stop growing around age 14. Bone growth is caused by "growth plates" and once the growth plates close (usually 2-3 years after puberty) the bones are unable to grow. You need to accept your current height. However, calcium & d will improve bone density, esp. If you take with vit. K.
