Constipation?: Contipation can cause gas to backup into your intestines. Bowel obstruction can also present with similar symptoms, but is much more dangerous. The cause of your constipation should be addressed.

: Either invest in an infants' fleets enema to do yourself or take her to urgent care where the staff can do an enema for you. She is likely one who has had some pain with pooping in the past and has retained it enough it is dry/big and will hurt to pass. Sometimes applying anesthetic ointment around the outlet will make the event less traumatic.

If : If you have tried all of the above mentioned and you are still in severe pain you need to seek medical care. You may need a manual fecal disimpaction or a more effective enema. Also a cause of your constipation needs to be investigated and treated.

Laxative.: Stay well hydrated (at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day). Eat 5 vegetable & 4 fruit servings per day – get that fiber in.  Avoid junk carbohydrates. Stay physically active.  You can also purchase an over the counter laxative.

: While it is not normal, it is not a cause for concern either. You may have a few diverticula in your colon and a corn kernel could have been retained in that.

Go to your Doctor: You very well may need to retrain your colon to empty it of the waste.  This situation you describe is abnormal and in no way representative of good health.

Your doctor may put you on a treatment or get you in to the gastroenterologist.

If so, yes, some people go weekly, although it is usually encouraged to supplement diet with more fiber / osmotic agent (like miralax), to increase frequency of bm, as may reduce risk of future problems (diverticular disease / cancer / etc.). Discuss this with your primary at next visit.

See details: There is no law that says you have to move your bowels every day. Spaghetti had nothing to do withit. It is persists3 or 4 days take a mild laxative but stop worrying.
