sleep apnea a prime consideration. If not that, then peri-menopausal hormonal disturbance would be my second thought. Additional hormonal considerations would be catecholamine (adrenaline) factors.  Cardiac conditions should also be considered (paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea).  Variant asthma a more remote possiblity.

Night sweats: After a month I would suggest a physical exam and if no illness or other problem then he is probably too warm even though he doesn't seem like it

Depends: Unfortunately, there is no silver bullet for hot flashes. Some women respond to certain anti-depressants (ssri), some to certain blood pressure medications, and some to medications for nerve pain. All have some side effects i would recommend having a conversation with your doctor on which one is right for you, especially if you sleep is very disturbed.

No: I have not come across a link between wet hair and night sweats in the literature. The temperature in your bed room may be the cause of night sweats. Adjust the thermostat or layers of blankets to see. Otherwise, depending on other symptoms you experience, underlying medical conditions may be needed to be checked out by your physician.

Are you drenched?: The sweats that tell of disease are obviously abnormal and need not occur at night. It is endocarditis or TB until proved otherwise. If you are soaking yourself, get seen without delay.

Excessive covers: You may be taking too may covers. Try using a fan to increase movement of air and fewer covers.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Night sweats: There are many causes for night sweats from the clothes you wear  to bed to the food you eat a night. If you are on medication that could cause itor you may be coming down with an  infection discuss it with your doctor.
