Night sweats: Sleep apnea can certainly cause night sweats. The brief awakenings that occur throughout the night after the apneic episodes are associated with rapid heart rate, and blood pressure; increases in stress hormones like epinephrine; and profuse sweating. It's important to note that there are other important causes of night sweats to consider, like infectious diseases, that need to be considered.
